New Rotary Cruise Air Marine Air Conditioning and Soft Start Module Team Up For Big Power Savings

In the what’s new department the new rotary marine air conditioner is showing up on some of the Beneteau Models.    Domestic Air the parent company of Cruise Air and Marine Air says these units have low power drain (6 amps) and the ability to be very quiet. Dennis at Lake Wood Yacht Service, (the distributors for Cruise Air and Marine Air Systems locally) showed me a device that manages the start up amperages of the air systems .This way you wouldn’t have to add a second shore power cord for two units.  To run a standard 110v unit on an inverter is with in reach with the soft start up unit. By eliminating the 15~20 amp surge at the compressor start up is the key ingredient for inverter to run air conditioning on smaller boats.
